Inner Critic? Turn it down...

Oct 05, 2016

How would you like to have less on your mind when in front of a camera or in an audition?

I mean literally...less distracting thoughts.

This quick blog chat is about internal dialogue and how to manage it.

We all have an inner critic - it can be downright disturbing, it can trip us up and cause us to feel bad and even to lose work...right?  What's the answer...?

Turn it down. Here's how...

3 easy ways to quieten down inside your mind

1. Imagine a globule of golden olive oil on the tip of your tongue.

Place the tip of your tongue behind your top teeth and squeeze gently keeping the oil gently in place. Notice the sounds diminishing..

2. Imagine a roulette wheel and a silver ball spinning round and round. Place yourself inside the wheel...hear the ball whizzing round gently and quickly...as your mind starts to quieten.

3. Picture a volume control inside your mind with a scale of 1-10.

Locate the volume level Say it's an 8...

Turn it down to...whatever number you like. 2? 1? 0...?

Chat about this here.

PS - Some of you were asking if it's too late to get the T.A.M. €50 off special offer, it is.

Sorry. That offer is now gone.

PPS - This is cool if you find mornings a hassle.
