This page is because actors have questions...?
These questions might involve something to do with "the business of acting" all the external stuff - questions about marketing yourself, or how to "clearly communicate" with an agent, headshots or showreels. They may be about how to create more acting work, or how to promote yourself online......or the questions might be more internal...
Questions about how to increase confidence or relaxation in the audition room - or they may be about how to reduce or lessen anxiety and/or eliminate painful feelings of stress from auditions. Script shaking, palms sweating...that kind of thing, nervous voice...etc...
However the most common question is...
"How do I get to "the next level" in my career - I'm feeling a bit stuck?"
And the natural response is to try and find answers via the Internet or ask actor friends in "the business". But often the answers online are unpredictable and contradictory.
What’s worse is that the source of the information can’t always be trusted. And when you do fix things relating to your career strategy, headshots, showreel or a personal website etc.... there’s often no other trusted source you can turn to, to ask for an opinion - and friends can only get you so far, right?
It’s a bit like standing outside a cave in the rain looking in
It’s cold, it’s raining cats and dogs - Storm Gertrude has just opened up above you, and the last zap of lightning was sooo close - You look inside the cave and see a nice warm fire, a party going on and lots of soothing hot food. But outside the cave you’re on your own.
And when you’re on your own you struggle.
You struggle because there’s no one to turn to. If you get stuck, you’ve got to work things out yourself. You get more frustrated and often spend hours going around in circles.

So what is Total Audition Magician (T.A.M.)?
TAM is the membership site of Nickdunning.com —but, hey, that’s just the technical description. It’s really a place where you learn, make friends power up and move ahead. And it’s safe and warm.

TAM is about going far together and so we have to have a solid, united group. To get to our ever-changing goals, the group must have an atmosphere of safety and caring. But the biggest factor that drives this group is that they want to ‘get things done.’ This isn’t a group that sits around whining and moaning. It’s a group that knows that to move ahead, you have to be action-oriented and you have to Just Do It!
The more you do things - we call them baby steps - the further your reach, the bigger your stride.
So how do T.A.M. members interact?
Since we’re on the Internet, the only real way to interact is online inside the training area - there's a video below showing you around the place - drawing back the curtain on the videos etc.
The other place is the camp fire - the private TAM online support and consultation group . You can come into the Cave, sit around the fire, away from the cold winds outside. And it’s in this safe place that you can work with other members - or just ask questions and explore.
These groups can be harsh places on the net right? They can be pretty scary places. It’s not uncommon to find nasty, childish—even vindictive behaviour on forums. In TAM we work towards the exact opposite. And this is achieved by attracting the right kind of people.
So who are the ‘right kind of people?’
For one, it’s people with the right attitude. We need to relate to people one on one. We need to be honest and we need to treat each other with the utmost respect, consideration and realise that when one person succeeds - we all succeed. That energy is precious.
The second factor is that despite being around since 2012 the membership of TAM is deliberately kept small and intimate. We accept only a few members every month and grow slowly, because we need to get to know each other and work with each other as a group. You’ll find people from countries all over the world. Some countries represented are Italy, Netherlands, USA, Canada, France, India, New Zealand, Ireland, UK, Australia and Germany… it’s a pretty diverse place.
But it’s people with the right attitude who are determined to make progress and make their business better. Here's the TAM page...I can only give you a sneak peek as everything we do is private and we respect each others privacy - how else do you learn and grow...?
This is the TAM private support and consultation group: The main hub of activity on TAM. It’s where you can ask dozens of questions and get relevant answers (often within minutes of posting). And because there’s such a diversity of members, you get different perspectives, ongoing links to resources, and angles that you may have not considered when asking your question.
And the members of TAM are genuinely helpful
They are the kind that go out of their way to make you feel good, make you feel comfortable. They work hard and get great results. If you’re sick and tired of places where the only thing people do is "blow their own horn" for endless self-promotion, you’ll let out a huge sigh of relief when you join TAM.
And that takes us to Reason No.2
Reason 2: Information that’s specific to your current and future needs
We’re drowning in a sea of information. And yet we need information to stay on top of things. Any membership site will give you boatloads of information. What’s different about TAM is that the information is suited to you—and your career. Personally.
So how do we make this specifically apply to you?
As you’d expect, there’s a ton of information in TAM. There are specific videos that deal with things like increasing your confidence in a matter of minutes. Videos about relaxing under pressure, There's even a specific exercise you can do that takes under a minute that completely relaxes your entire mind and body so you become hard wired for "and alert relaxed and creative " presence perfectly suited to camera work or being on stage. And a free audio that relaxes your brain so you easily enter the best state of mind for a "perfect audition".
Ciara O'Callaghan, A TAM member just landed a major BBC TV Sitcom from listening to that - It allows her gifts to be there on he day when it matters most.
So the way it works is like this
You ask a question. And it gets answered. It gets answered by me (I’m there 32 times a day—that's the beauty of the internet - and the iphone 6! - (except when I’m on holiday) and your questions get answered by others as well - other actors who can give their own advice.
You can ask a billion questions a day—if you like. Not that you’ll need to, but that’s how happy we are with your questions. And when you ask the question, the answer is often "quite surprising"
Unlike a search engine that just pings back an answer, the answers you get in TAM are specific to you. You will also be directed to specific information within TAM itself. For example, if you wanted to find out how to increase your branding - you know really standing out in an audition (like the purple cow story) you’ll have a ton of information. And this is the most important fact of all. If the information doesn’t exist, I’ll create it.
Unlike other forums where the forum owner is nowhere to be seen, I’m there from 9.00 am answering questions through the year). On most days you’ll find me there at 9 am, 11am, 12pm, and after midnight (People ask me if I ever sleep. The answer is yes, but I am around TAM a lot). Each question is answered in detail, I may even write a series of articles purely based on your questions.
And just in case, you don’t like using a forum, you can send me a Personal Message via email or online through TAM - Asking Nick is easy peasy! It's like having your own batphone!
We want to advance as a group
We know that the smarter the group gets, the faster we’ll all move ahead. After being slightly reluctant for a short while, you’ll find TAM and the online support and consultation group are just what you need to give yourself a gentle but firm ‘little kick’ to move ahead.
If you ask just a few questions or 7562 questions, it will be promptly answered and with great courtesy (There’s no such thing as a ‘too big’ question or ‘too silly’ question).
Which takes us to Reason 3.
Reason 3: A source of inspiration, a collective force field of good energy and great buzz!
We get into "this business" because we love it don't we? We know we're all a bit "left field" we're not like those "other people" we entertain for a living - and sometimes this business drives us nuts! We need a place to have fun, to unwind. We need a place where we can relax and talk about things that scare us, annoy us, or even share a joke or two. And yes we need inspiration and encouragement.
In T.A.M. the focus is on getting things done. And when we see how others, just like us, achieve their goals we’re driven to do the same.
And of course you get inspiration from the way I run things. I work all the time right inside this business and my contacts and networking connections are second to none - so If I don't know something I can always call on people I have worked with before - and I've made my living as an actor, and solely as an actor since 1975. Reason 4: Powerful training videos, audios and worksheets that gently guide you towards your unique vision
This may sound like marketing hype, but the TAM videos and audios and the worksheets and the coaching calls are extremely highly prized, even loved. The reason these videos are so good is they are created with my unique perspective as an actor and a "Certified High Perfromance Results Coach" I am trained as a NLP master Practitioner and Master Hypnotist - I know how to make internal changes ethically, easily and quickly - and my own signature - very gently indeed. They are so effective because of the dedicated training that has gone into them.
And when you change on the inside results change on the outside
And of course you get goodies that others don’t see. Sometimes I create a new audio specifically for the TAM members - The most recent was a video that allows you to solve any problem in your life as an actor - using a simple 3 step process - This alone changes lives. It happens in TAM. And it happens all the time.

Do you really need to become a member of another site?
No you don’t. The fact is that the Internet provides more than enough information already. But it’s un-verified information. To find information that’s useful to you personally, requires a huge amount of work. And despite your long and exhasusting search, you may NOT find the answer to your specific question.
